Waste within the fashion industry in Aotearoa New Zealand is high, with over 190,000 tonnes going to landfills in 2019. The role of the consumer is important, and little is yet understood about this critical topic. Worn Well aims to better understand motivations in the Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand to use and hold onto clothing. Two key questions are at the heart of the project:
-What is your most loved clothing item?
-What is your most worn clothing item?
This project is still in progress, and is a collaboration between, Rebekah Harman, Emily Russell, Holly Russell and One Man Crew.
